Matthew Puccini

Matthew Puccini is a Brooklyn-based, Bay Area-raised filmmaker.

His first film, “Solo,” won the King Award for Screenwriting at NYU’s First Run Film Festival. His latest short, “The Mess He Made,” premiered at SXSW, has screened at over two dozen festivals and is shortlisted for this year’s Iris Prize, an international award recognizing excellence in LGBT cinema. He is a member of the 2017 New York Film Festival’s Artist Academy, and a recipient of the 2017 Richie Jackson Artist Fellowship. He spent the past year working for acclaimed director Cary Fukunaga (Beasts of No Nation, True Detective) on his new show for Netflix, Maniac. Matthew received his BFA in Film Production and minor in Dramatic Literature from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts.
